Deputy Finance Manager

Job Summary

A Deputy Finance Manager supports the Finance Manager and the finance team in managing the financial operations of an organization. His/hers responsibilities typically include but not limited stated below:

1.1 Financial Reporting and Analysis:

• Preparing financial statements and reports.
• Analyzing financial data to identify trends and variances.
• Assisting in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.

1.2. Budget Management:

• Monitoring budgets and expenditures.
• Providing recommendations for budget adjustments.
• Ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures.

1.3. Accounting and Bookkeeping:

• Overseeing daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable.
• Managing general ledger entries and reconciliations.
• Ensuring accuracy and timeliness in financial record-keeping.

1.4. Internal Controls and Compliance:

• Implementing and maintaining internal control systems.
• Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
• Assisting in audits and providing necessary documentation.

1.5. Team Leadership and Development:

• Supervising and mentoring senior finance staff.
• Providing training and development opportunities for the finance team.
• Collaborating with other departments to ensure financial alignment.

1.6. Strategic Planning:

• Assisting in the development of financial strategies and long-term planning.
• Supporting the Finance Manager in financial decision-making processes.
• Participating in strategic meetings and providing financial insights.

1.7. Treasury and Cash Management:

• Monitoring cash flow and managing liquidity.
• Overseeing investment activities and bank relationships.
• Ensuring optimal utilization of financial resources.

Job Requirement

Educational Background

• BA or MA in Finance & Accounting Field;

Work Experience and Skill

• eight (8) years out of which Four (4)Years & above on General Accountant Head or Senior Accountant Position;
• strong analytical skills;
• proficiency in Peachtree,IFRS, Microsoft excel & access application;
